        Even creative types like fabled master of modern art Pablo Picasso knew that inspiration is only a small part of any effort. Goal achievement is all about planning. The creative process is one of planning, failing and planning a new set of goals. But those plans are rooted in a belief that they will work. Without that faith, there is no plan that will clear the hurdles that block the progress of any project. And the more and more I look back at this year, I realize I had created a plan to achieve my goals. I love that Pablo uses “vehicle” for a plan. I reminds me of the movement toward our goals. Being a passionate to do your task can bring you to success. Sometimes we forget that a plan is document that puts structure around an idea. But without that vision to set the plan in motion, there’s really no point in following through. It's necessary to understands that before there is a plan, there is a dream. That’s always the first step in any plan. And good plan is a good start. On the other hand, if you want to finish what you started you might have to throw that plan out and make a new one. 

        Things change, including your plan. Learn from your mistakes. Because learning from other’s mistakes is less time consuming and financially burdening than learning from your own mistakes. The more prepared you are to deal with the aspects of your market, the easier it might be to handle issues down the road. Before we set our goals and create our plan, we need to know our purpose and our priorites. While it is good to have a plan, and to believe, we must take action. We have the vehicle, the destination, now we need to step on the accelerator and move. When we do, we begin completing goals. And as we complete goals it makes life better. Not because we completed the goals, but the journey to succeed in those goals shows us who we are.
